Barry Ackroyd at IADT - First National Film School guest lecture of 2010
BAFTA nominated cinematographer Barry Ackroyd (The Wind That Shakes The Barley) will give a talk as part of the National Film School (NFS) lecture series on Wednesday 20 January 2010 at IADT.

 

Barry Ackroyd is one of Britain's leading directors of photography. He is best known for his collaboration with Ken Loach, for whom he has shot twelve films, including the IFTA and EFA award winning ‘The Wind That Shakes the Barley’ and the Cannes’ Palme D’Or nominated, ‘Looking for Eric’.

Other work includes Paul Greengrass’ ‘Green Zone’ and ‘United 93’ for which he received one of his three BAFTA nominations. Recently he has been highly praised for his work on IFTA nominated ‘The Hurt Locker’, for which he has been nominated for an ASC Award.

The NFS Lecture series is presented in association with the Irish Film Board. The talk will be held on the IADT campus on Wednesday, January 20th at 5.30pm.
